"I see dead people," is the famous line Osment uttered in The Sixth Sense, the thriller film that made him a star opposite Bruce Willis. But now, those looking at the actor might be getting sensory overload!
Osment was seen on a beach vacation in Cancun, and he had no problem appearing shirtless despite his pronounced girth.
As a child star, then just 11 years old, Osment caused a sensation in the 1999 movie The Sixth Sense. Today, he is unrecognizable as he's put on weight and sports sunglasses and a shaggy beard in the Cancun surf.
Osment frolicked with a mystery beauty in a red bathing suit during his kick-back beach day. RadarOnline.com recently included Osment in a where are they now round up of child stars -- because he looks so different!
The actor, who appeared in the Entourage movie in 2015, recently featured in a new Amazon pilot, Oasis, which has yet to be picked up for a full season. "When you get lucky as I did and work on some amazing films at a young age, one of the career drawbacks is that the image of you as a child is burned into people's minds for a long time," Osment told The Telegraph.
Osment wore black bathing shorts and kept his designer shades on as he ran into the sea to splash around with his dark-haired lady friend. In addition to The Sixth Sense, he starred in Steven Spielberg's AI when he was a boy, and had his first adult role in the movie Sex Ed.
In 2006, Osment was arrested for drunk driving and pot possession after a car crash, as PEOPLE reported at the time. Osment pleaded no contest to one count each of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol and misdemeanor drug possession on October 19, 2006. He was sentenced to three years probation, 60 hours in an alcohol rehabilitation and education program, a fine of $1500, and a minimum requirement of 26 AA meetings over a six-month period.
Osment's 2006 automobile crash reportedly left him with a broken rib and a fractured shoulder. In 2014, he told an interviewer, "I'm not the kid from The Sixth Sense anymore," and as RadarOnline.com's photos show, that couldn't be more true!
