In her book Going Off Script, Rancic revealed that she dealt with a difficult breakup in 2004 by binge eating. "I sank into a depression. "The only thing that made me feel better was dessert," she wrote. "I've always had a sweet tooth, but sugar became my drug, and I went on a binge every single night."

"I do not have an eating disorder," Rancic insisted on Today in 2015. "I have never had an eating disorder. I wanted to be very clear about that. In fact, I eat a lot. People always love to tweet: 'Eat a burger.' I eat burgers. It's not working."
