Fake Nudes! Celebrity Nude Hacks That Were Actually False

There have been some surprising celebrity nude photo hacks over the years. One major hack known as TheFappening claimed to release the naked pictures of around 500 celebs. Pictures from Jennifer Lawrence, Hayden Panettiere, Kaley Cuoco and more flooded the web. But guess what? They were fake nudes.

Most of the photos that were supposedly stolen were photoshopped or fake. That's right, when the headlines claimed that stars like Ariana Grande, Olivia Munn and Kesha had their most intimate photos stolen and uploaded, they were lying.

1. Sophie Turner.

Was it really Sansa Stark in a sex tape? No, it wasn’t. According to the Daily Beast a video pretending to show Turner doing sexy time things was actually a clip of adult movie actor Jenny Blighe.

2. Olivia Munn.

In 2012, nude photos of Munn were plastered all over the web. But they were definitely fake. According to the Huffington Post, Munn took to Twitter and posted photos of a baby and a cat saying, “If you ever hacked my phone, these are the pictures you’d find.”

3. Kesha.

Kesha may have dropped the $ symbol, but she never dropped her clothes when the cameras were flashing. In 2010, a leaked photo of a semi-naked girl lying on her back fluid drizzled over her hit the web, but Kesha hit right back. She told Twitter, “okay. so i've never done any naked pics.. lol . that sh*ts fake. thats not me. total bs. shes hot tho. n getting laid. good for that girl.”

4. Ariana Grande.

In 2014, Grande saw her supposed nude photos exposed for the world to see — only she didn’t. No one did. According to the Independent, she tweeted, “To every1 going on about my “nudes” & my “m&g prices” neither are real! my lil ass is a lot cuter than that lmao & tour details r comin soon.”

5. Blake Lively.

In 2011, a series of five nude photos allegedly belonging to Lively hit the web. But according to Reuters, Lively’s publicist says they were “100% fake.” The face in the photos was indeed blurry or partially concealed, and so the publicist added, “Blake has never taken nude photos of herself.”

6. Christina Hendricks.

Days after the fake nudes of Munn made the rounds, pictures that were claimed to belong to Mad Men star Christina Hendricks hit the web. But not all of them were real. According to Newshub, Hendricks’ representative said that her phone had indeed been hacked and that the pictures of Hendricks scantily clad were real, but the topless shot was not.

7. Holly Willoughby.

Sophie Turner

Gorgeous U.K. TV morning show presenter Holly Willoughby also fell victim to TheFappening but wasn’t remotely worried about it. According to Inquisitr, Willoughby called any claims of naked pictures “baseless” accusations because she didn’t have any naked photos in the first place.

8. Hilary Duff.

Another victim of the celebrity fake nude hack hit back. According to the NY Daily News, Duff reached out to the FBI to get to the bottom of the matter. Duff claimed the photos couldn’t have been hers because they didn’t have her “defining birthmarks or tattoos.”

9. Jenny McCarthy.

McCarthy was not happy when fake nudes of her were published on the net in 2014. Her rep said, “Certain photos claiming to be hacked photos of Jenny McCarthy and posted to various websites are not McCarthy at all, but someone else, including the most explicit nude photos.”

10. Yvonne Strahovski.

Yvonne Strahovski didn’t waste a second telling people that nude photos of her weren’t actually her. According to E! News, she posted to Instagram, “Some of these pictures are fake, my own included. Regardless — I ask you all — do not share the links. Don't even look at the photos. Just let people have the privacy they deserve. Integrity is sacred."

11. Megan Markle.

Celeb Jihad — a website known for posting real as well as fake nudes of celebs — turned its focus to Markle. In 2018, the site published topless pictures it purported to be hers. According to The Blast, a rep for Kensington Palace issued a statement saying simply, “These are fake photographs.”

12. Taylor Swift.

Another Celeb Jihad post with fake nudes appeared. This one featured Swift , but they were clearly fakes. It turns out Swift’s head was Photoshopped onto a porn star’s naked body. According to the Daily Beast, Swift’s team sent a letter saying they were “false pornographic images and false ‘news’.”

13. Megan Fox.

Pictures that were sold as Megan Fox nudes also turned out to be fake. These were simply of Megan Rain, a porn star who happens to look like her. According to the Daily Beast, her lawyers said they were “100 percent fake.”

14. Kate Upton.

According to E! News, Celeb Jihad struck again. This time they Photoshopped naked pictures of Upton pretending they were “outtakes” from a 2014 swimsuit shoot. She threatened to sue, and that was that.
