Demi Lovato celebrated her birthday this week, one year after her near-fatal drug overdose.
The “Confident” singer — who turns 27 this Tuesday, August 20 — shared sweet videos and photos of her celebration this Monday night.
To celebrate her big day, Lovato attended Ariana Grande’s concert in London, and the “thank u, next” singer honored her by leading a birthday chant before running onstage.
“This was too sweet not to post.... before show prayer they did this for my bday ?? I’m so so proud of you @arianagrande. You f***ing killed that!!! I love you tons ?” Lovato wrote on Instagram alongside a video of the special moment.
After Grande’s concert, she, talent manager Scooter Braun, and a group of pals, brought out a birthday cake and sang “Happy Birthday” to Lovato.
“Okay, last one before bed. They literally filmed/sang happy birthday twice and @scooterbraunSTILL forgot to press record ? @arianagrande’s face is everything and this video is a perfect glimpse of how f***ing happy and rad my birthday is this year. So so happy. And I love my new family. Thank you guys, love you,” Lovato captioned the video on Instagram.

“It’s my birthday! I’m so happy! I’ve literally never woken up this happy before in my life. I’m doing something today that I haven’t done in a long a** time with someone,” she said while smiling at the camera.
