David and Susan Cassidy have been married for 23 years, but now their shocking divorce has taken an ugly turn as David petitions the court to ban his wife from their marital home, which is set to be auctioned off in September!
David is asking a Florida court to give him exclusive access to the Ft. Lauderdale home that he shared with Susan during their marriage.
Last year, Susan filed for divorce from David after 23 years of marriage.
Then in March, David filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to protect himself from creditors.
He listed his assets at $3,714,913, and his liabilities at $2,143,367.
Among the assets is the Ft. Lauderdale property, which, notwithstanding multiple mortgages, is worth an estimated $3.4 million.
As RadarOnline.com has reported, Susan filed papers with the court demanding both to be kept apprised of all developments in David's bankruptcy, and that David be forced to sell the Ft. Lauderdale mansion as part of the proceedings.
David then asked the court to allow the home to be auctioned off after multiple failed attempts to sell.
David wants to be able to stay in the home up until the sale, and wants the court to force Susan to stay out of the home.
