Sheen, 50, had his new real estate agent, Scott Weier, broker a deal to purchase three houses south of the border. Meier said the former Two and a Half Men star was fleeing the US to retire in Mexico.

"It's just a humble little three-bedroom house, around 2,700 square feet. It wasn't too expensive," Weier told MailOnline.com. "He told me he's planning on living here full time, he's tired of the rat race of the United States and his life the way it is. He wants to do something a bit different. He's looking for a change. Compared to what he has in Los Angeles it's very humble and simple."

As RadarOnline.com and The National ENQUIRER exclusively reported, Sheen announced he is HIV positive in November of last year. Not long after that, he  took his exes Brooke Mueller and Denise Richards to court to reduce their child support payments, claiming his income has been drastically reduced. Weier insisted, "He's certainly not coming here to impress anyone with a huge mansion on the ocean."

Sheen has claimed in court documents that he is $13 million in debt. In addition, he was just sued by American Express for nearly $300,000 in unpaid bills. Still, he managed to find enough money to purchase the Mexican escape in Rosarito. He plans to live in the middle home and keep the two outer ones empty for privacy, Weier said.

Weier explained that Sheen wants to leave the craze of Hollywood: "He's serious about it. He's said to me more than once, 'I envy you. I'd rather have a simple life, a family and be laid back without people hounding me all day.' He's looking for things to be much quieter and simple. He's a nice guy. From what I can tell he's learned a lot from his mistakes and he wants not just to change his address but to change his life."

Known for his hard parting ways, Weier said that Sheen has cleaned up his act. "He doesn't drink as much anymore, and he even joked about that with me," he claimed. "When I've been with him, he's only had one beer or so. He wants normalcy and peace, he said."

Sheen has claimed his income has been drastically reduced in recent months. But Weier said, "Charlie can still make movies and Baja Studios is close. I know he's even checked in there. And he's only three hours back to Hollywood. It's nice and close but a million miles away in terms of the people how things happen here. The America dream is not dead, it's just moved to Mexico!"
