Spears' summer collaboration with Azalea, "Pretty Girls," did not end up being the hit song either had expected. But then Azalea told a Twitter fan that she believed it was Spears who doomed the track.

The feud began on June 27, when 25-year-old Azalea took to her Twitter to tell a fan, "It’s difficult to send a song up the charts without additional promo and TV performances etc. unfortunately I’m just featured..."

After Spears saw what Azalea had said, she went on Instagram to let her fans know that she was taking the high road, by posting a message that said, "Don’t let idiots ruin your day."

Azalea tried to backtrack on her comment by posting an update to the Spears diss. But according to Spears insider, it was too late!

Spears, 33, quickly put her in her place by taking aim at the fact that Azalea’s summer tour was cancelled. According to Spears' pal, "Clearly Britney’s response was a slap in the face for Iggy. For Iggy to turn around and point the blame on Britney for the failure of the song was just ridiculous."

Azalea retaliated in a response that speaks for itself. "Genuine friends have genuine opinions. It’s possible & healthy to have a differing thought without it being b**chy or shade," said Azalea.

Spears, who is about to resume her "Piece Of Me" residency at Planet Hollywood in Sin City, "cannot wait to get back to Las Vegas," the source tells Radar.
