The third night of the Republican National Convention continued the frenzy of this year's presidential election, as Ted Cruz reignited his feud with Donald Trump, and Mike Pence accepted his vice presidential nomination. Here's what you might have missed.

The biggest story of the night was Trump's former GOP, rival Ted Cruz, refusing to endorse the billionaire. Cruz urged voters to "vote your conscience," receiving boos from the crowd and being told to "get off the stage," CNN reported. After the convention, Trump tweeted Cruz's failure to "honor the pledge," writing, "Wow, Ted Cruz got booed off the stage, didn't honor the pledge! I saw his speech two hours early but let him speak anyway. No big deal!"

Las Vegas Casino Tycoon and Trump business associate, Phil Ruffin, spoke Wednesday night and said Trump "pays his bills promptly" and that 'his handshake is better than any contract you will ever write."

Small business owner Michelle Van Etten delivered a speech saying those who desire the "American dream" would be denied because of "excessive policies and eight years of liberals." She compared the U.S. to a circus and called Trump the "ultimate ringmaster."

Radio host Laura Ingraham praised Trump because "he dared to call out the phonies, the frauds and the corruption that has gone unexposed and uncovered for too long." Ingraham also caused a social media uproar Wednesday night after Twitter users accused her making a Nazi salute to end her speech.

Prior to the convention on Wednesday, Cleveland police arrested 18 people after a protester tried to light an American flag on fire. Two demonstrators were charged with assaulting an officer.
Mike Pence Accepts the Republican Nomination for Vice President
After Cruz's controversial speech, Trump's running mate, Mike Pence, took the stage to accept the nomination as vice president, subsequently slamming Hillary Clinton for her "What difference does it make?" remark at a 2013 Benghazi hearing. "As the proud father of a United States Marine, let me say from my heart, anyone who said that, anyone who did that should be disqualified from ever serving as commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the United States of America," Pence said.

Eric Trump took center stage to speak passionately about his father. "It's an honor to be here for a man I love so, so, so much," Trump said. He went on to say his father's career was based on turning dreams into realities and that it was "time for a president with common sense."

Lynne Patton, who serves as the vice president of the Eric Trump Foundation, defended Donald Trump against accusations of racism. "As a minority," she said, "I personally pledge to you that Donald Trump knows that your life matters, he knows that my life matters." She went on to say that the billionaire knows that "LGBTQ lives matter, and he knows that veterans' lives matter, and he knows that blue lives matter!" She urged voters to "Vote for the candidate who stands in solidarity with you."

Meanwhile, former presidential candidate Newt Gingrich said, "if you want to protect the constitution of the United States, the only possible candidate is the Trump/Pence Republican ticket." He then bashed Trump's opponent, saying it was time "to reject the suicidal dishonesty of Hillary Clinton."

The former GOP rival once dubbed by Trump as "Little Marco," Marco Rubio, appeared via video at Wednesday's convention. Rubio said Hillary Clinton "planted the seeds for the disaster we now know as Obamacare" and was a "reliable vote for crony capitalism, Wall Street bailouts, middle class tax hikes, and out of control government spending."
