Not even matching tattoos from Cambodian monks could save Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's marriage! RadarOnline.com has learned the couple sat for symbolic ink just months before their brutal breakup, in a last-ditch effort to save their crumbling bond.
The mother of six reportedly wanted a physical link to the father of her children, according to reports, just months before she'd file for divorce.
Jolie flew tattoo artist and ex Thai monk Ajarn Noo Kanpai to Cambodia when she was directing her film, First They Killed My Father, to work on the matching ink for she and Pitt, as their marriage was crumbling in February 2016.
Jolie had three new "mystical sak yant" back tattoos, according to reports. She sat with the artist to have the elaborate ink painted on her during a lengthy procedure.
Kanpai used the ancient handheld method for the process, a procedure considering more painful since the artist uses steel rods mounted with a surgical steel needle.

Jolie had the art placed in the middle of her back, while Pitt had Kanpai tattoo the left side of his stomach with a Buddhist symbol.
Months before their brutal split in September 2016, Jolie and Pitt had the artist give them the tattoos "to symbolically bind them as husband and wife."
Jolie's new tattoos reportedly included two ancient Thai Buddhist symbols and mantras, which many believed helped to provide protection
But a few months after getting the "binding" tattoos, Jolie abruptly filed for divorce, amid rumors that Pitt had been abusive of one of their children. (Such rumors were proven to be unfounded.)
The couple have since been fighting for custody of their huge brood, dragging each other through the mud in court and pushing to end their two year marriage and 12 year relationship. What do you think about Angie's symbolic tattoos? Sound off in comments below.
