Soon-to-be-father Andy Cohen showed off his dad bod as he walked on the beach in Miami. The shirtless Watch What Happens Live host looked happy to be in the sun after a very wet New Year's Eve co-hosting gig in New York City, and RadarOnline.com has all the photos! The talking head revealed the gender of his surrogate baby during CNN’s live NYE show. As the clock ticked down to midnight on Monday, December 31, Cohen told co-host Anderson Cooper, 51, that he’s expecting a baby boy! The news came after Radar had exclusively revealed that Cohen has asked Cooper to be the child’s godfather. “Andy knows how much this means to him. The two of them are extremely close.”
While reflecting on 2018 with the news anchor on CNN, Cohen, 50, said, “I cannot wait to meet this boy.” Cohen added, “When I was growing up, and when we were growing up … I just never thought it would be possible as a gay man to grow up and have a family."
"And here we are in 2018, almost ‘19, and anything’s possible. And I’m so grateful to a wonderful surrogate that I’m working with.”
Cohen, who announced he would be becoming a father earlier in December on WWHL, added about his upcoming life-changing event, “By the way, by the time it became possible, I was kind of having too much fun in my life to say, ‘I don’t think I can do this right now.’ But here I am, I turned 50 this year. It takes some people longer to get to that place. And it took me that time.”
Sources revealed exclusively to Radar Cohen had gone blue crazy over his baby boy. "Ever since he found out he has a boy he has been asking every single celeb friend of his who has boys for pointers. He is also nervous because he said he wants to raise his son to have less of a wild streak then him."
Added the informant: "No one thinks that will happen. He is literally over the moon right now. He just can't wait to meet his son and is almost hoping she goes into labor a little early bc he doesn't want to wait."
He also announced earlier on social media: “I want you to be the first to know that after many years of careful deliberation, fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science, if all goes according to plan, in about six weeks time, I’m going to become a father thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future.”
Cohen continued, “Family means everything to me and having one of my own is something I’ve wanted in my heart for my entire life and though it has taken me longer than most to get there, I cannot wait for what I envision will be the most rewarding chapter yet.”
Days later, Cohen shared a photo of himself hugging his dog, Wacha, and noted writing that they are “patiently waiting” for the baby’s arrival.
Until the arrival of his baby, Cohen can be caught shirtless and flaunting his dad bod!
