Amber Attacked Boyfriend With Machete During Violent Rampage, No-Contact Order Issued

Amber Portwood was arrested on Friday, July 5 for domestic violence against her boyfriend and baby daddy Andrew Glennon.
The Teen Mom OG star has now been hit with two felony charges, one of which includes criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon, and one misdemeanor charge.
According to court documents obtained from Marion Superior Court, the deadly weapon used in the violent attack was a machete.

Count 1
In court papers obtained from Marion County Superior Court in Indiana, Portwood, 29, has been charged with one count of domestic battery for “knowingly touching Andrew Glennon, a family or household member in a rude, insolent or angry manner.”
Count 2
For the second count, she was charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon: a machete. “Struck the machete at and into a door, while Andrew Glennon was standing directly on the other side of the door, that created a substantial risk of bodily injury to Andrew Glennon," the court papers read. The second count is a felony charge.
Count 3
For the third count of domestic battery, which is also a felony, Portwood “knowingly touched Andrew Glennon, a family or household member, in a rude, insolent, or angry manner and Amber L Portwood committed said offense in the presence of a child less than 16 years of age, knowing that the child was present and might be able to see or hear the offense."
No Contact!
A motion for a no-contact order was filed on July 9, 2019. On July 10, there was an order granting the motion for no contact order. The Ashley’s Reality Roundup was the first to report on the machete incident.
Shocking Arrest
Portwood was arrested on July 5 for assaulting her boyfriend. A police spokesperson told RadarOnline.com at the time, “Officers spoke to the male victim, who stated his live-in-girlfriend and he were having a disagreement. During which time the female, later identified as Amber Portwood, assaulted him, while he was holding their 1-year-old child.”

According to the dispatch audio recording obtained from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, a responder claimed, “I received a text message from somebody saying that their life and their son’s life is in danger.”
She’s Out
A spokesperson for Marion County Jail in Indiana told RadarOnline.com that Portwood was released on Saturday, July 6 at 4:30pm.
No Andrew
The clerk also confirmed that she was released on a cash bond of $2,000. RadarOnline.com can reveal a woman unrelated to Portwood bailed her out, not her baby daddy Glennon. She has a court hearing on Wednesday, July 10.
Custody War
According to Marion County Court, Glennon filed for petition for paternity related orders and for emergency hearing regarding custody of a child on Tuesday, July 9.
Past Charges
Portwood, who has been open about her struggle with bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder, was arrested on domestic violence charges in 2010 after a fight with baby daddy Gary Shirley, who is the father of her daughter Leah, 10.
Behind Bars
She served 17 months in prison on drug charges and was released in 2013. Shirley was granted full custody of Leah at the time.
Back In Court
Portwood had court on Wednesday, July 10 at 8:30am. A pre-trial conference has been set for July 26.
