Wright became an outcast in Hollywood “Max has become a shadow of his former self,” a source spilled to RadarOnline.com. “It’s sad what’s happened.”
Millions remembered Wright as hilariously uptight Willie Tanner, the exasperated host to a Muppet-like space alien.
“ALF” ended in 1990, and it didn’t take long for Wright’s life to spiral out of control. Five years later he was diagnosed with lymphoma.
Nine years after that, a former gay lover confessed he and Wright used to pick up homeless men twice a week and pay them $100 for sex. Often, they’d all do drugs together. As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Wright even appeared in a shocking homemade gay porno tape with two men, smoking crack.
Wright was arrested for drunk driving in 2003 and hadn’t worked in film or TV since 2005. His wife, Linda, kicked him out in 2003.
