Ill-Looking Wendy Williams Rolls Around NYC In Wheelchair, Talk Show Host's Return Pushed Back Again As Ratings Soar Without Her
Wendy Williams was spotted being pushed in a wheelchair on Tuesday. This marks the first time she's been seen in more than one month as she continues to battle health issues.
The 57-year-old star has been missing in action both on and off the screen. Wendy looked downcast as she was photographed leaving her Manhattan home, hours after news broke that her talk show is doing better without her.
As RadarOnline.com reported, The Wendy Williams Show ratings are up 33% as fill-in hosts like Leah Remini continue to grace the stage in Wendy's absence.
Wearing a caramel-colored sweater, black pants, and a pair of Nikes, the television personality kept her mask on and her head down while being pushed in her wheelchair to an awaiting SUV.
An unidentified man was spotted helping her to the car, where Wendy pulled herself up and into the vehicle.
Keeping her emotions hidden behind her mask and dark-rimmed sunglasses, she did not acknowledge the paparazzzi who anxiously snapped away at the now rare sighting.
Wendy's latest outing came hours before producers of the talk show announced her return date is getting pushed back again. New fill-in hosts have already been scheduled.
Michael Rapaport will take over hosting duties next week, followed by Bill Bellamy, Jerry Springer, and Steve Wilkos.

Wendy will not be returning to her own show until at least November 22. RadarOnline.com has learned she's pissed at producers for scheduling replacement hosts, specifically Leah, without her input.
“No one asked Wendy for her approval before hiring Leah,” an insider told us.
This isn't the first time that Wendy's return to the show has been delayed. In September, she backed out of work commitments, citing health issues.
Wendy was originally scheduled to return to work on September 20. Days later, she revealed she had tested positive for Covid-19 despite claiming to be fully vaccinated and pushed the premiere date to October 4.
Season 13 officially kicked off on October 18 with Devyn Simone, Bevy Smith, Elizabeth Wagmeister, and Michael Yo. Wendy was not there.
The last time anyone saw the star, she was being wheeled around while smoking her vape pen — a big no-no when battling health problems.
