A new person has just been added to Ted Bundy's long, tragic list of victims, RadarOnline.com can reveal, almost 40 years after the vile serial killer was put to death.
On Wednesday, April 1, the Utah County Sheriff’s Office officially closed the 52-year-old cold case of Laura Ann Aime, the 17-year-old who went missing on Halloween night.
Laura Ann Aime's Case Closed

A new victim of Bundy was revealed on April 1.
Aime's nude and beaten body was found by hikers on November 27, 1974. On Wednesday, officials revealed they collected DNA evidence that was found to be a positive match to Bundy, showcasing “definitive evidence” that he was one of his victims.
"Case evidence similarities indicated that the manner of abuse and the likely cause of death was comparable to the modus operandi of Theodore 'Ted' Bundy,” Utah County Sheriff Mike Smith explained.
Officials used "new forensics techniques" to finally solve the case, as the technology allowed them to separate mixed DNA profiles to identify a male DNA profile from a fluid sample collected in the case. After adding the profile to the national database, investigators received a "hit" in Florida and matched it to the serial killer.
Smith said, "With that evidence and the full support of the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, we bring this case to a close. And most importantly, we bring closure, hopefully, to the Aime family, who have endured over 50 years of the loss of their loved one."
'Ted Bundy Is Gnashing His Teeth in Hell'

Laura Ann Aime's nude and beaten and body was found in 1974.
Michelle Impala, Aime’s sister, revealed she never thought she'd see the day the case would be solved, as she said, "I'm sure that my mom and dad would be really happy to know that it is closed."
She continued: "Just to know that Ted Bundy is gnashing his teeth in hell is really … I hate to think of people doing that, but with him and a few other people in the world, that’s what they deserve.
"It's really quite amazing that people are still interested in Laura’s case."
Bundy was 42-years-old when he was executed by the electric chair at Florida State Prison in 1989. While alive, he terrorized the country between 1974 and 1978, ultimately confessing to killing 30 women.
Ted Bundy's Horror Killing Spree

Bundy confessed to killing 30 women, but authorities believe there are more victims.
Bundy's first victim was 21-year-old Lynda Ann Healy, who was murdered on February 1, 1974, in Washington, Oregon. His confirmed final victim was 12-year-old Kimberly Diane Leach, whom he killed in Florida in 1978.
The young girl was found dumped under a shed after she was kidnapped. Several young women were able to escape Bundy's wrath, including 18-year-old Carol DaRonch, who was kidnapped in 1974. Bundy was arrested following the incident and was sentenced to 15 years behind bars.
However, escaped by jumping out of the jailhouse library window in 1977. After he was captured, Bundy escaped once again, and just one month later, he killed two women at a sorority house at Florida State University.
The 'Force' That Drove Ted Bundy

He was executed in 1989.
Bundy's longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer, once revealed the killer was driven to kill by a dark force, as she explained to investigators, "He told me that he was sick and that he was consumed by something that he didn't understand... he just couldn't contain it."
According to Kloepfer, Bundy "spent so much time trying to maintain a normal life, and he just couldn’t do it. He said that he was preoccupied with this force."
Bundy has been portrayed several times in films and shows, most notably by Zac Efron for Netflix's Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
