New 'RHOC' Star Noella Bergener Files For Legal Separation From Husband James Days After His $5.8 Million Tax Debt Was Exposed, Demands Primary Custody
Noella Bergener, the newest cast member of Real Housewives of Orange County, has filed for legal separation from her personal injury lawyer husband James.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Noella filed a petition in O.C. court on August 2. She lists the date of marriage as June 28, 2020. The date of separation is “to be determined.”
Noella says they only have one child a 2-year-old son named James. She says “irreconcilable differences” is the reason for the split. In court documents, the Bravo star is demanding the court award her primary legal and physical custody of their son.
She is asking for James to only have visitation. Noella wants her estranged husband to pay her monthly spousal support and for the court to terminate his ability to request any support from her.
The court document states, “To the exact nature of the separate property asset and debts are unknown to the Petitioner at this time. Petitioner reserves the right to amend her petition once it is discovered.” Noella also wants James to pay her legal fees in the case.
The decision to separate comes after RadarOnline.com broke the story about James' massive tax debt. Recently, the IRS and the State of California filed liens against Noella's husband who runs a successful law firm named Sweet James.
The IRS accuses James of refusing to pay $1,878,438 for 2018 and $2,166,680 for 2019. The State of California is on the hunt for $1,851,225.04 owed for 2018 and 2019.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Noella was chosen to join season 16 of Real Housewives of Orange County along with Dr. Jen Armstrong and Nicole James. The three will join Shannon Beador, Emily Simpson, Heather Dubrow, and Gina Kirschenheiter.
Noella's casting caused a bit of a stir. She was previously friends with Braunwyn Windham-Burke. Producers decided to fire Braunwyn and hire her two friends Noella and Jen.
Recently, Noella spoke out against Braunwyn saying she has no intention of being her friend again due to "trust" issues.
