The cast of Real Housewives of New York will not be shooting their reunion in September as producers postpone the taping once again as they try to scramble to fix the dying show.
Sources close to the situation tell RadarOnline.com, the decision has been made to cancel the tentative September taping in NY. The reunion was originally scheduled to film on August 5 but was pushed as ratings continue to decline.
At the time a source told Daily Mail, “All hell is breaking loose behind the scenes” and “while the cameras are down, the drama is continuing.”
We’re told the future of Real Housewives of New York is now out of the hands of Andy Cohen and Bravo and has reached the NBC executives.
Sources say the show has “become an embarrassment and the fear is the New York could destroy the rest of the franchise and maybe even NBC.”
We’re told there is talk of putting the show on a lengthy hiatus until they can figure out what to do. Production on season 14 was scheduled to start at the end of the year but that has been canceled.
No nee start date has been provided to the case. Insiders say the women are concerned since that means they won’t start getting a new paycheck for a bit.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, producers secretly decided to fire Ramona Singer after a disastrous season. Our source spilled, "Ramona will not be invited back to the next season of the show. One, she is too expensive. She is the only lady that has been on the show from day one, (Countess LuAnn was demoted to ‘a friend’ before returning as a full-time cast member) and her salary reflects it."
Sources say Ramona has been making the reunion difficult. She expressed concern to producers that her costar Eboni K. Williams would paint her as a racist during the sit-down hosted by Andy. Another insider claimed that Ramona tried to get the execs to sign off on excluding certain questions but they shut down her demand.
Eboni publicly fought criticism that the topic of race on this season caused low ratings. She blamed the producers for picking the wrong storylines.
Bravo has yet to comment on the matter.
