Hilton, 48, is best known for his fierce jabs at celebrities and their personal insecurities, including their physical appearances.

Hannity was quick to call him out on his past behaviors, which Hilton said he now avoids doing in today's world. In fact, he admitted his history is a huge regret of his.

When he was asked why he ditched the cruel attitude, Hilton explained, "Because I realized what I was doing was wrong. I realized I could still be funny, but I didn't have to be so cheap, and I didn't have to be so cruel. It was cruel. It's something that I carry with me. It's like my scarlet letter, and it's very heavy baggage."

Hilton further admitted he's managed to make up to some of the people he's hurting, including Neil Patrick Harris who he famously outed as gay in 2006. At the time, he engaged in a self-admitted "witch hunt," tracking down men the actor previously dated.

"I made amends with him, and he asked me to write something in his memoir. So I wrote a little something in there, and he was very, very gracious," Hilton said.

He also acknowledged that many gay men don't look to Hilton favorably, and they aren't the only ones. Hilton was known to target women in the entertainment business, offering commentary on their weight and often pegging them with harsh nicknames.

Not everyone has forgiven him.

Hilton added, "I viewed it as entertainment, but it's their lives. That's what I told Jennifer Aniston when I met her randomly in a parking garage in Los Angeles."

When Hilton described Aniston as a "soap opera character," she allegedly retorted, "No, I'm a real person."

The media personality described his past as "very childish," but claimed "some of it was funny."

Hilton's controversial past made it difficult for many in the public to sympathize after his recent mental health crisis.

During a Tuesday night livestream, he was seen covered in blood as he allegedly sliced himself with a knife and made concerning comments while completely naked on camera.

This sparked 911 calls and police swiftly responded.

Dispatchers described a "suicide attempt" and authorities arrived at Hilton's home. However, police chose to use de-escalation tactics to avoid a "suicide-by-cop" incident. Later, they managed to communicate with Hilton and get him taken to a hospital for treatment.
