Lisa Vanderpump Shades Fired 'Vanderpump Rules' Star Stassi Schroeder As New Mom Reunites With Former Bravo Co-Stars

Grandmother-to-be Lisa Vanderpump has no intentions of slowing down – career-wise or shade-wise.
While speaking with RadarOnline.com about the upcoming season of Bravo's Vanderpump Rules – which will look vastly different without Stassi Schroeder, Beau Clark, Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright and Kristen Doute – the 60-year-old restauranteur poked fun at the 33-year-old Next Level Basic author, saying that the remaining cast had matured beyond the days of "just chucking a drink at somebody and shouting, 'It's my birthday!'"
Anyone who's ever seen even one full season of the reality television show knows Schroeder considers June 24 – the day of her birth – a national holiday, and those who don't receive her wrath.
Stassi, after several Pinot Grigios, with black mascara running down her face, screaming "It's my f--king birthday" to anyone within earshot...has been a staple of the series since its 2013 inception.
But just because we won't see her or some of her fellow OGs – who were fired in 2020 after resurfaced claims of potential racism and homophobia came back to bite them – doesn't mean Season 9 won't be highly entertaining.
When we asked Lisa what three words she would use to describe the upcoming episodes, she said, "It feels intimate – like, you get really into the core of issues. It's funny – it has a lot of humor in it this year. But it's also explosive, I have to say, and intense as well. That's four words. But yeah, all of those fit the above."
Since Season 8 wrapped, Stassi, Brittany, Scheana Shay and Lala Kent have all given birth to their first babies.
They reunited for the first time – all eight of them – just yesterday.
Given that this group of gals was more accustomed to holding cocktails than they were infants (see Schroeder's caption), some fans online have expressed concern with the vivacity of what's to come.
"Well I wish that was true, but having babies didn't change them!" Vanderpump quipped. "I think some of the issues maybe are a little deeper, but I think as you mature and the friendships get older and more mature, so to speak, and developed, they also become more intense. There's more at stake."
"So I don't think you care less, I just think you maybe have slightly more in-depth conversations about it," she added, "rather than just chucking a drink at somebody and shouting, 'It's my birthday!'"
While not seeing some of the familiar faces viewers have grown to love and/or hate will surely change the show's dynamic, Lisa reminded us that that's been a theme of the series from the jump.
"The dynamic of the show always changes," she said. "It changed when James Kennedy came in. It changed when Lala came in. It keeps evolving. Charlie [Burnett] was a great addition... Tom [Sandoval] and Tom [Schwartz] have a lot going on this year. And the girls, I mean, it's a big cast already – with James, Raquel [Leviss], Ariana [Madix], Katie [Maloney], Sandoval, Schwartz... It's a big cast."
Filming for Vanderpump Rules Season 9 wrapped just last month, with Scheana getting engaged to her baby daddy, Brock Davies.
