Kim Kardashian Drops The 'L' Word In Impersonal Kanye West Birthday Shoutout, After Sources Claim 'They Have Not Spoken In Months'
Divorce or not, Kim Kardashian was not about to let June 8 go by without wishing her estranged husband a happy birthday ... on social media.
Whether Kanye West got verbal acknowledgment from Kim remains to be known because she is reportedly not speaking to him amid their $2.1 billion divorce battle and rumors he's romantically involved with Bradley Cooper's supermodel ex, Irina Shayk.
Still, Kim's Instagram tribute was a cute and unexpected one.
"Happy Birthday Love U for Life! 🎈" the 40-year-old reality star-turned-makeup mogul captioned a shot of her and the 44-year-old rapper-turned-designer aboard a private jet with three of their four kids in tow.
Perhaps the earlier birthday post from Kim's sister, Khloe Kardashian, put some pressure on the soon-to-be-former Mrs. West?
Hours prior to Kiki's tribute, Koko shared a never-before-seen photo showing her on a beach with her baby daddy, Tristan Thompson, who was seen standing next to Kim, who was standing next to Kanye, all hanging out in the water together.
"Happy birthday to my brother for life!!!" she captioned the tropical shot. "Have the best birthday Ye! Sending you love and endless blessings!!"
It's interesting that Khloe would shower Ye with love during her sister's contentious split from her husband of six years, but it's even more shocking that Kim would show out with a public message of her own.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has reportedly completely "cut ties" with the Yeezy designer, as the two "have not spoken in months, except through third parties over the kids."
"I think [Kim's] relieved over the divorce and being liberated from the relationship. She's never stayed friends with her exes, she just moves on. And she has moved on from Kanye, she's already closed the door on that one," a source said, adding that "once she's cut ties – you just don't exist to her any more...there's no sentimentality at all."

Indeed, Kim looked every bit fierce and unbothered during her girls-only outing over the weekend. Joined by fellow billionaire sister Kylie Jenner and life-of-the-party momager Kris Jenner, the KarJenner clan sported all-black-everything while making their way into West Hollywood hotspot Craig's Restaurant for dinner.
While we don't know what the threesome discussed over their likely lavish meal, perhaps the West-Shayk dating rumors were a topic of conversation?
Recently, a tipster spilled the alleged dating tea to Instagram-based celebrity gossip site DeuxMoi.
"Kanye West is now secretly dating Irina Shayk aka Bradley Cooper's baby mama," the anonymous source wrote in, prompting the unidentified mastermind behind DeuxMoi to comment, "After further looking into this, I don't know if 'dating' is the right word, but there is perhaps some interest there."
Soon after, another anonymous tipster doubled down on the first person's claims by saying that the two were "def dating."
Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February of this year, following months of speculation that the famous duo's marriage was over.
