Katie Holmes Dumps Chef Boyfriend Emilio Vitolo Jr. After Questioning His 'Motives' For Dating Her

The 42-year-old star was first linked to the restauranteur in September 2020, shortly after her split with Oscar winner Jamie Foxx. 

Sources tell the outlet, the Dawson's Creek actress began to feel like "something didn't seem right," which caused her to pull away from Vitolo. 

But she didn't break up with him in person. 

The insider tells OK!, Holmes ended their 8-month relationship over the phone instead of in person. 

Their source put it frankly. "She dumped him," they said.

Holmes reportedly began to question his motives for dating her. Vitolo's family is well-known in the restaurant industry but he has dreams of being a big-time actor.  

“Katie started to wonder if Emilio had ulterior motives for dating her," the source continued, adding that she has a long list of celebrity friends and connections in Tinsel Town. 

In April, it was reported that Holmes and Vitolo's relationship was on the rocks. 

The actress allegedly felt like things were moving "too fast" and decided they needed to "pump the breaks."

"Katie has a lot of big priorities in her life — she’s a single mom, her daughter [Suri] always comes first and things were moving very fast,” an insider told OK! at the time, adding, "Katie has a lot going on and Emilio is busy working at his restaurant with his dad.” 

Prior to dating Holmes, Vitolo was engaged to fashion designer Rachel Emmons. 

They reportedly ended their relationship right before photos surfaced showing him with Holmes. 

The two quickly became inseparable and were seen packing on the PDA all over the Big Apple. 

A spokesperson for the actress released a statement confirming the split but left out all the alleged juicy details, telling Us Weekly, “the pair have parted ways amicably but remain friends.”

Katie Holmes was famously married to Tom Cruise from 2006-2012.

Suri is their only child together.
