Jesse Williams' ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee has filed a declaration under oath accusing the actor of using threatening language and intimidation tactics that have caused her to fear for her safety.
RadarOnline.com has obtained the filing made in the former couple's divorce. As we first reported, the former spouse of the Grey's Anatomy star is back in court demanding primary custody of their 2 kids.
The couple was together for 13 years when Jesse filed for divorce in 2017. They had been married for 5 years. The case dragged on for years with both fighting it out in court. A settlement was eventually reached in 2020.
Jesse agreed to pay $40k a month in child support and the exes said they would share joint legal and physical custody.
However, Aryn claims Jesse has been acting "erratic" ever since leaving the hit ABC drama and the pandemic hit. She accuses him of firing their longtime nanny without consulting her causing their kids harm.
In her declaration, Aryn writes, "Since Jesse’s exit [from the show', there have been multiple instances of Jesse notifying me with very little notice that he will be gone for weeks or months at a time for work, and therefore must cancel his custodial time."
She claims Jesse often will cancel time with the kids at the last minute or he will cancel and then call to un-cancel hours later. causing a disruption.
She claims when she would try to talk about the issue with Jesse, "he has resorted to erratic behavior to try to force me to acquiesce to his demands; he calls me names, uses threatening language and intimidation tactics such as threatening to send the police to my home, causing me to fear for my and our children’s safety."
She claims, "Jesse regularly does what he wants and forces the rest of us to adjust."
Further, "Despite claiming he was home more, in Fall of 2020 when Jesse had the opportunity to take on more of the day-to-day parental responsibility and be involved with the children’s education, as the children were also home more due to the pandemic, he chose not to."
Aryn reveals they are also fighting over their kids traveling to visit him in New York when he stars in the Broadway play Take Me Out. The show was set to run in 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic. Aryn claims she agreed to let the kids go before the world turned upside down and doesn't believe it's worth the risk now despite Jesse's objections.
Jesse has yet to respond to his ex's motion.
