Renner has kept his personal life low-key ever since his nasty custody battle with his ex-wife Sonnie Pacheco. As part of the court case, Sonny has accused Jeremy of drug use and demanded he be subjected to drug tests.
Pacheco accused the Avengers star of having a “long history of alcohol and drug abuse which has persisted since before the parties’ marriage, through divorce and post-judgment.”
At a 2020 hearing, the judge shut down Pacheco's request. According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, the order read, “Court finds there are insufficient facts to order the drug test.”
Earlier in 2020, Renner asked that his child support payments be reduced from $30,000 per month to $11,000 per month. The actor accused his ex of using the support money to fund her lifestyle. He asked that a business manager be appointed to control the child support — and did not want Pacheco in control of the funds.
At one point, Pacheco claimed Renner was being reckless with their daughter's health during the pandemic and accused him of not following safety protocols.
In court documents, her lawyer said, "it appears that [Renner] is not following pandemic safety guidelines, including while Ava is in his custody, particularly in his Reno home. The evidence strongly suggests that [Renner] has numerous people in his Reno house without wearing masks. The participants include several young women.”
Renner and his ex split in 2014 after 10 months of marriage. They share a 9-year-old daughter named Ava. The two have been in and out of court ever since their breakup.
