Hayden Panettiere showed up to her first event in two years and she couldn't wipe the smile off her face, weeks after she reunited with her ex who allegedly punched her in the face.
The 31-year-old actress glowed when she came out of hiding for Thursday night's special screening in Los Angeles of Paris Hilton's Netflix series, Cooking With Paris.
The Heroes actress looked snatched wearing high-waisted button jeans, a tucked-in white tank, and an angled blazer.
Pulling her blonde locks up and in a messy bun, Panettiere stopped to pose for the camera with fellow celebrities like Paula Abdul, The Hills: New Beginning star Caroline D'Amore, and The Vampire Diaries actress Kat Graham.
Panettiere appeared fresh-faced with minimal makeup and showed up to the event without her ex-boyfriend Brian Hickerson.
Proving it was ladies night, the actress -- whose last stint on television was Nashville in 2018 -- seemed in good spirits and thankful to be back in the spotlight for reasons other than alleged issues with her relationship.
According to reports, Panettiere was caught with Hickerson at a West Hollywood restaurant on July 17, only weeks following his release from jail over an alleged domestic violence incident.
At the time, Hickerson spoke to E! News confirming their outing but denied it was anything romantic. "Hayden and I are not back together but are working on a friendship," he told the outlet.
“We have a long history together, and the first step in my recovery as an abuser is making amends," Panettiere's ex explained. "That's exactly what Hayden has been gracious enough to allow me to do."
As RadarOnline.com reported, Hickerson checked out of the Los Angeles County Men's Jail in May after serving only a 12-day sentence, which is significantly less than the 45-day sentence the judge handed him.
As part of a plea deal, Hickerson will have to complete 52 domestic violence classes and pay a $500 fee.
The alleged incident went down in February 2020 when the two were away in Jackson, Wyoming for Valentine's Day.
Panettiere called the police around 2 AM and said she had been punched in the face. When cops arrived, Hickerson was pacing outside and told authorities he "beat the f--k out of her."
