Blind Harvey Weinstein Pleads Not Guilty To Sexual Assault Charge After Rolling Into Court In Wheelchair Ahead Of Eye Surgery

Harvey Weinstein has pled not guilty to a reinstated sexual assault charge in Los Angeles, with his lawyer saying the disgraced movie mogul can no longer see or walk.
The 69-year-old looked frail while being pushed in his wheelchair into the downtown courtroom on Monday.
Dressed in a dark brown jail suit, Weinstein added a pair of glasses to his latest look while his attorney, Mark Werksman, told the judge his client desperately needs eye surgery.
In August, one of Weinstein's 11 charges was dismissed by the judge after his legal team argued the statute of limitations had run out on a sexual battery charge. A criminal grand jury later amended the indictment to include an alleged May 2010 incident involving Jane Doe #3.
Both sides went back and forth during Monday's hearing — with prosecutors claiming they have other alleged evidence of sexual misconduct against Weinstein that they'd like to include. Werksman scoffed at the prosecutor's allegations and argued the claims should not be allowed in trial.
Weinstein's next court date will be held on October 25.
The once Hollywood heavyweight's alleged declining health has always been an argument against the two sides. Weinstein's lawyers tried to fight his extradition from New York to L.A. by claiming his teeth were falling out.
They claimed he needed to stay on the East Coast to get the proper care.
Despite their efforts, Weinstein was sent to the Golden State in July on a private jet.
He was photographed leaving the luxury aircraft without handcuffs, despite serving more than one year in prison.
Weinstein didn't exit the private jet in a wheelchair. While claiming he can't walk, the disgraced movie producer was seen picking one foot up after the other and successfully getting down the stairs.
Weinstein faces up to 140 years behind bars.
Meanwhile, his ex-wife Georgina Chapman is back to living the good life following their divorce.
The 45-year-old socialite recently showed her face at the Met Gala with her new man Adrien Brody. It was an interesting move that she picked the year's biggest night in fashion to come out of hiding considering she had to walk alongside Weinstein accusers like Lupita Nyong'O and Cara Delevingne.
She looked unbothered and happy to be there despite the allegations surrounding her ex.
