Erika Jayne Cries About Her ‘Innocence’ In Court Battle Over Million Dollar Diamond Earrings

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne has agreed to not sell off an expensive pair of diamond earrings gifted by her estranged husband Tom Girardi — that he allegedly used stolen money to buy.
According to court documents obtained by Radar, the Bravo rushed to court to fight off drama in the bankruptcy for Girardi’s law firm.
As we first reported, Jayne is being dragged to court over a pair of diamond earrings worth $1.4 million. Her husband purchased the jewelry for her in 2007.
The only problem is Girardi is accused of using his client’s money to purchase the earrings. Earlier this year, the once-respected lawyer was forced into Chapter 7 bankruptcy by his creditors.
Many of his former clients accuse him of owing them millions and they are starting to go after Jayne for the money.
The trustee in charge of the bankruptcy went to court this week demanding the earrings to help pay back the creditors.

He explained his investigation has uncovered that the diamond set was purchased with $750k from his client’s account. The trustee says Jayne has no right to the luxury item given they were bought with stolen money.
The earrings’ value has increased over time.
In her motion, Jayne says she “innocently received a gift of earrings from her now-estranged husband, who at the time was extraordinarily wealthy.”
“Erika is completely innocent,” her attorney writes. “Not even the trustee alleges that Erika knew the source of funds that her wealthy husband used to buy her a gift of earrings 15 years ago (which replaced a prior set of earrings bought years prior to that)."
The Bravo star says she agrees to hold and not sell off the earrings until the judge rules. “Erika will provide the earrings to a third-party escrow to be held in trust pending the trustee finishing her investigation and, if there is a dispute at that point, until a final order is entered determining the parties’ rights,” her lawyer states.
A judge has yet to rule on the matter.
