Ed Sheeran's Pal DJ Jamal Edwards Died Of 'Heart Attack' At Mom's Home, Hours After Performing Final Set

Ed Sheeran's buddy DJ Jamal Edwards reportedly passed away after suffering a "sudden heart attack" at the home he shares with his mother, British talk show host Brenda Edwards.

The musician's friends revealed the beloved DJ died on Sunday morning inside the residence he shared with his mother in Acton, West London. Edwards was only 31 years old.

Sadly, it was his mom who found him in his bedroom. According to Daily Mail, Brenda called the London Ambulance Service. Two paramedics responded but could not save him.

His unexpected death occurred just hours after he wrapped up his final performance at a local bar.

Edwards is a legend in the British music scene. He started the music platform SBTV and is credited with launching the careers of Sheeran and Jessie J.

Edwards' final Instagram post actually paid homage to Sheeran.

As of this post, Sheeran has not spoken out about Edwards' shocking death.

On Monday, Jessie J broke her silence about his passing. Sharing several photos of Edwards, she said her "heart is broken" over the news.

"Your light. Your ideas. Your love for your Mum and your sister. Your work ethic. Your dedication to making a difference not just in this industry but in this world. Your laugh. Your laugh. Your care for every person you met was unmatched. But your friendship… Phew. That’s why my heart is broken. We had plans bro. I can’t believe this is real," she wrote.

Prince Charles and his wife, the future Queen Consort, Camilla, also paid tribute. Edwards was the ambassador for one of the Prince of Wales' charities.

"Thinking of the family of Jamal Edwards today," Clarence House tweeted. "His work in music but also as an ambassador for a new generation, including his work for The Prince's Trust, were an inspiration to so many."

His mom's Loose Women co-stars broke down on air while talking about his death. They wiped away tears while reading Brenda's statement to viewers.
