DaBaby is being interviewed by police who want to know if he has any connection to a double shooting that went down last night.
According to NBC Miami, a spokesperson for the Miami Beach Police Department confirmed the rapper was among several people being questioned at the moment.
The shooting went down on Miami Beach’s famed Ocean Drive in front of restaurants on the boardwalk. Two people have been hospitalized as a result of the incident.
Last night, the 29-year-old rapper posted a video of himself performing at a private event at the Hard Rock Stadium. The performance went down in Miami Gardens.
Miami Beach Police spokesperson Ernesto Rodriguez told NBC Miami they arrived at the scene of the shooting just before Midnight. They found two people had been shot.
The two victims were transported to the Ryder Trauma Center. One of the individuals had a gunshot wound to the shoulder while the other was hit in their leg.
One of the victims has already been released from the hospital. The other victim reportedly is still receiving treatment and is in critical condition. At the moment, the names of the victims have not been released by the police department.
It's unclear what happened in the moments before the shooting went down.
The shooting caused the city to shut down the MacArthur Causeway while they investigated the matter. The area was reopened after the police were able to detain several suspects.
The police department says no arrests have been made at the moment. The officials say they have yet to discover if the victims were eating at one of the restaurants when the gunfire started or if they were walking on the street.
The investigation into the matter is still ongoing. DaBaby has yet to release a statement.
