Christina Haack Reveals She Smoked A Bufo Toad Before Meeting Boyfriend Joshua Hall, Breaks Silence On New Relationship And Sends Message To Media Hounds
Christina Haack just broke her silence on her new relationship with Austin-based realtor Joshua Hall.
In a lengthy and quite revealing Instagram post, the soon-to-be 38-year-old Flip or Flop star explained to her 1.6 million followers how she met Josh after spending time healing from her divorce from Ant Anstead (though she did not mention her ex-husband – who is now dating Renée Zellweger – by name).
And one of the ways Christina says she healed is by smoking a Bufo toad.
According to studies, one single vaporized dose of the substance 5-MeO-DMT – which is derived from dried venom secreted by the Bufo alvarius toad – often produces hallucinogenic, boundless experiences that can last anywhere from 7 to 90 minutes, producing a sustained enhancement of satisfaction with life as well as the ease of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
"I met Josh when I wasn't in a state of fear or fight-or-flight … I had taken time off social, hired a spiritual coach and smoked a Bufo toad (which basically reset my brain and kicked out years of anxiety in 15 mins)," Haack captioned a photo showing Hall embracing her from behind. The two are currently in Mexico for the HGTV star's birthday, which is tomorrow.
"When we met this past spring, the synchronicities hit us so hard and fast they were impossible to ignore," she wrote. "I felt immediately crazy protective over him and wanted to keep him for myself and get to know each other before the tornado (media attention) hit."
Though Christina's career is televised, fans have always seemed to be more interested in her dating life. Following her divorce from Tarek El Moussa, with whom she has two children, Haack married Ant Anstead and had one child with him. The two finalized their divorce just last month.
According to Christina, she and Josh have "had a few solid months of just us getting to know each other" and have "loved every second of it."
"So called 'fame' provides so many things but it comes with a cost," she wrote. "They build you up then tear you down."
Earlier this week, mere days after her most recent ex-husband was photographed necking on his own new flame, Haack was photographed with her new man for the first time. She and Hall were at Los Angeles International Airport, headed for Mexico.

"When I saw a camera behind us at the airport my heart started beating out of my chest and my hands shaking," she explained. "And not for me but for him. I know they dig and dig and I didn't ever want to see him stress over the media stalking him and his family. Which obviously has already begun to a [sic] uncomfortable degree. False narratives being thrown around left and right. They go after everyone you and your family follow on social media and everyone who is in your inner and outside circle looking for dirt and drama. That's partly why there is [sic] so many failed celeb relationships, they turn new relationships into a circus."
"We decided whats in the past, is in the past," Christina went on. "We aren't looking at all the nonsense online. The internet and social are great for businesses or staying up to date on fam / friends but also, can be toxic and (let's be real) pretty fake."
"I may be a bit crazy and I'm definitely not perfect but I will never live my life based on other peoples judgments or opinions," she added. "We pride ourselves on never judging others and always wanting others to be happy and we wish others would have the same respect."
Though Haack says Hall is not on social media, she took the opportunity to thank him publicly for "whisking me away on a romantic tropical vacation he planned entirely on his own."
And in one final jab at those who feel the twice-divorced mother of three should maybe just chill for a sec, she wrote, "So yes 'another relationship' and guess what. I'm 38 - I'll do what I want."
As RadarOnline.com reported earlier today, Josh is the brother of media personality/podcaster Jessica Hall, who is (or was?) friends with Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young, who is engaged to Tarek, Christina's first husband.
