Mr. Big is back, baby! Chris Noth is officially reprising his role as Carrie Bradshaw's husband on HBO Max's Sex And The City sequel series.
Unlike his former co-star Kim Cattrall, Noth has signed on to join the franchise regulars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis for the show's reboot.
Despite rumors circulating that the show must go on without Samantha Jones and John James "Mr. Big" Preston, Noth isn't disappointing fans and has finally taken the plunge.
And Just Like That…, will follow Bradshaw (played by Parker), Miranda Hobbs ( Nixon), and Charlotte York (Davis) as they navigate their complicated, yet entertaining, lives and friendships into their 50s.
The cast is scheduled to begin filming the 10-part, 30 minutes episodes in New York City this summer.
The show's executive producer Michael Patrick King dropped the bombshell about Noth, smashing all rumors the actor wasn't planning to jump on the reboot.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Chris again on And Just Like That…,” King said. “How could we ever do a new chapter of the Sex and the City story without our Mr. Big?”
Many fans feel the same way about Cattrall, who refused to reprise her role as beloved sex-craved PR boss Samantha Jones.
Cattrall has been vocal about her disdain for one of her longtime co-stars, calling SJP "cruel" in 2018.
Despite her public name-calling, Parker has defended her relationship with Cattrall and has acknowledged that she will be missed on the Sex And The City reboot set.
When fans noticed SJP didn't tag Cattrall in the show announcement, she clapped back at comments about their feud.
When someone said SJP didn't tag her former co-star because "they dislike each other," she responded, “No. I don't dislike her. I've never said that. Never would. Samantha isn’t part of this story, but she will always be a part of us. No matter where we are or what we do. X.”
Instead of Samantha, fans will get a taste of a brand-new character.
Sara Ramirez has joined the cast and will play Che Diaz.
