As RadarOnline.com reported, Spears reclaimed her independence over the weekend when she was caught behind the wheel of her car and her boyfriend Sam Aghari riding shotgun in the passenger seat.
Asghari shared a video from inside the car with Spears' singing voice taking center stage.
While fans were eager to hear her voice, he neglected to show her face -- and now, we may know why.
When Spears and Asghari made a pitstop at a Starbuck's drive-thru in Los Angeles on Sunday, nearby paparazzi noticed something sparkling on the singer's ring finger.
In photos obtained by Daily Mail, Spears can be seen sporting a large diamond on that finger while reaching to grab her coffee from the shocked-looking employee.
Flashing her perfectly painted red nails, the Grammy winner's blinding sparkler immediately grabbed attention.

Keeping it casual, the Lucky singer wore her blonde hair back and messy.
Slipping on a pair of sunglasses, Spears went makeup-free for the outing. Asghari couldn't wipe the smile off his face.
Whether his pearly whites are because of a possible engagement or just the freedom of their car ride, is yet to be determined.
Just weeks ago, Spears told the judge in her conservatorship that she wanted to get married and have a baby.
The Crossroads star claimed she was unable to do so because of her tightly wound conservatorship. She pointed the finger at her dad, Jamie Spears.
“I want to have the real deal. I want to be able to get married and have a baby," Spears said during her emotional June 23 testimony.
“I was told right now in the conservatorship, I’m not able to get married or have a baby,” the singer continued. “I have an I[U]D inside of myself right now so I don’t get pregnant. I wanted to take the I[U]D out so I could start trying to have another baby. But this so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out, because they don’t want me to have any more children.”
