Britney Spears Dad Jamie In Crisis Mode After His Daughter Unloads on Him In Court
Britney Spears' father Jamie and his team (that she is paying for) were bracing for a rough day in family court Wednesday when the singer testified, but they were not prepared for how bad it would be.
"Britney unloaded. Yes, there has been tension and struggles between her and her dad but at the end of the day, he is family. He is her dad who saved her life when things got really bad,” sources tell Radar.
“He is hurt and angry but doesn’t blame his daughter. Jamie believes others put Britney up to this and have put words in her mouth.”
Britney broke her silence for the first time calling her decade long conservatorship “abusive.”
“He loved the control he had over me, one hundred thousand percent,” she said about her dad at the virtual hearing. “I’ve lied and told the whole world I’m OK and happy. I’ve been in denial,” Britney added.
“You know, fake it till you make it, but now I’m telling you the truth, I’m not happy. I can’t sleep. I’m so angry it’s insane… I cry everyday.” Many of the details of the conservatorship are still secret but are believed to include the power to restrict everything about Britney’s life including who she dates.

“At this point it isn’t about saving the conservatorship. It is about saving his relationship with his daughter,” adds a friend. “One day he hopes that Britney will be able to see everything he did for her was out of love.”
During the bombshell court hearing, Britney told the judge, "I’ve lied and told the whole world “I’m OK and I’m happy.” It’s a lie. I thought I just maybe if I said that enough maybe I might become happy, because I’ve been in denial. I’ve been in shock. I am traumatized. You know, fake it till you make it. But now I’m telling you the truth, OK? I’m not happy. I can’t sleep. I’m so angry it’s insane. And I’m depressed. I cry every day."
She tore into the court for allowing her father to be in control of her life for 13 years.
"When he works me so hard. When I do everything I’m told and the state of California allowed my father — ignorant father — to take his own daughter, who only has a role with me if I work with him, they’ve set back the whole course and allowed him to do that to me. That’s given these people I’ve worked for way too much control," she spilled.
The next step is for Britney to file a petition to terminate the conservatorship and the judge will make a decision.
