Brian Laundrie's Parents Christopher & Roberta Not Selling Florida Home, Claim 'For Sale' Sign Was An Elaborate Hoax
Brian Laundrie's parents are not selling their Florida, home, despite a "for sale" sign parked in their front yard.
Christopher and Roberta Laundrie made headlines once again on Tuesday when it appeared they were putting their North Port house on the market. The sign was all anyone needed to believe the couple was saying goodbye to the infamous yellow home.
Gabby Petito lived with her fiancé and his family in the house before going missing during a cross-country road trip with Brian.
Her body was found on September 19. The coroner ruled her cause of death as manual strangulation.
But the outspoken Laundrie family attorney, Steven Bertolino, says not so fast. Christopher and Roberta are staying put in the home. He chalked the confusion up to a practical joke.
"It's a hoax. Sign is not there," he told WFLA reporter JB Biunno. "The Laundries are not selling their North Port home, family attorney Steve Bertolino told me," the newsman tweeted. "This comes after a report surfaced showing a For Sale sign on their front lawn. Was it possibly Photoshopped?"
The 10,000 square foot lot played a huge part in the search for Gabby and the aftermath that followed. Its estimated worth sits between $210,000 and $340,000.
Christopher and Roberta weren't just making headlines for allegedly selling their home. The couple was spotted for the first time since Brian's death was ruled a suicide. The late 23-year-old's parents were photographed on Tuesday in the woods where their son's skeletal remains were found.

Brian's family put on their hiking gear and headed to Myakkatchee Creek Reservation, next to the Carlton Reserve. They were seen holding hands while exploring with backpacks.
Christopher and Roberta were a part of the search team on the day they successfully found Brian's remains after a five-week manhunt for the sole person of interest in Gabby's murder. The coincidence raised many red flags with Internet sleuths.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Brian's cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head. Gabby's family is still seeking justice and suggested "additional individuals" might be charged in her homicide.
