Alex Rodriguez’s Former Brother-In-Law Trying To Get Ex-MLB Star’s Sealed Divorce Records As Part Of Fraud Battle
The brother of Alex Rodriguez’s ex-wife Cynthia is on the hunt for the former Yankees divorce records in an attempt to help him prove fraud.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Alex is battling the brother of his ex-wife Cynthia, Constantine Scurtis.
A-Rod was married to Cynthia from 2002 until 2008.
Earlier this year, Constantine sued the ex-MLB star for millions. In the suit, he accused Jennifer Lopez’s ex of screwing him over on a real estate deal they put together while Alex was still married to Cynthia.
Constantine says the deal was put together in 2003 with Alex investing the majority of the money.
Per the deal, Constantine was set to be paid 5% of all the profits. He says the deal fell apart after Cynthia filed for divorce. In court documents, Constantine portrayed Alex as a cheater who ruined his marriage.
He said, “After Rodriguez's wife discovered the truth about Rodriguez's infidelity and filed for divorce, Rodriguez then turned on (Constantine) Scurtis and cheated him," the suit read.
Constantine says around this time Alex kicked him out of their offices. He says the ex-MLB star promised they would remain friends but then sold off all the company assets and transferred them to another company.

“Through their racketeering. Rodriguez and his co-conspirators have caused Scurtis many millions of dollars in damages,” the suit reads. Alex has denied the allegations through his lawyer.
He said Constantine’s suit included a bunch of “scandalous” allegations designed to “sensationalize the claims.” Alex said he didn’t owe his former brother-in-law a dime and demanded the suit be tossed.
The judge didn’t agree with Alex and has allowed the case to proceed. According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Constantine recently fired off a subpoena to a CPA named Philip Shechter.
He demanded the man show up for a deposition and turn over documents. The CPA says he was hired by Cynthia as a forensic accountant as part of her divorce from ARod.
Philip says Constantine is demanding he produces documents from the divorce that happened “over twelve years ago.” Philip says he will show up to a depo but is refusing to produce documents arguing, “What possible relevance could they have to this case.”
The judge has yet to rule on the subpoena.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Alex is currently partying in Monaco and Ibiza for his 46th birthday.
