Alec Baldwin’s daughter Ireland lost it on social media after being hit up for comment about her father killing a crew member.
The 25-year-old model shared a screenshot of a text she received from an unidentified reporter. “I’m a freelance journalist. I was hoping to possibly do an interview with you. Obviously I would make it beneficial for both of us, but I know it’s a sensitive time." the message read.
“Of course you’re Alec’s daughter, So anything you have to say on the situation would be important,” the reporter ended.
Ireland is furious about being dragged into a tragic situation that she had no part in.
She captioned the post, “To the handful of journalists who have been contacting me, you’re despicable and insensitive. To anyone who’s been giving out my number, please lose it and don’t contact me again.”
Alec’s daughter added a note to the victim, “My love and support got to Halnya Hutchins’ family and friends. Sending healing thoughts to Joel Souza. And wishing I could hug my dad extra tight today.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Baldwin was shooting a new western film Rust in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The 61-year-old actor was filming a scene that required his character to use a gun.
A prop gun was on set that was supposed to hold blanks. However, when Baldwin pulled the trigger a live round came out. The "round" struck the 48-year-old director Joel Souza in the shoulder and then hit 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
Hutchins was airlifted to a nearby hospital but died from her injuries. Souza is still in the hospital being treated by doctors.
“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother, and deeply admired colleague of ours. I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family,” Baldwin said in a statement released earlier today.
The Santa Fe Sheriff’s office is still investigating the matter. No criminal charges have been filed yet.
