Alec Baldwin Back In NYC & Indulging At Favorite Restaurant With Wife Hilaria, Weeks After Hiding Out In Vermont Following Accidental 'Rust' Shooting
Alec Baldwin has returned to the city and isn't skipping a beat — dining at his favorite restaurant amid the ongoing investigation after he accidentally shot and killed his Rust co-worker, Halyna Hutchin.
The 63-year-old actor was photographed enjoying an Italian meal at Cantinori in Manhattan's East Village on Sunday night with his wife, Hilaria. Baldwin looked worse for wear while sitting at the table sans kids, marking the first time he's been seen in New York since escaping to Vermont following the deadly shooting.
The married couple sat outside the popular restaurant. They weren't trying to hide their arrival either. Cantinori is notorious for being a celebrity favorite — meaning, Baldwin and Hilaria knew they would be recognized and didn't care.
Sporting a black jacket, Baldwin failed to do his hair, appearing a tad messy for his dinner date. Taking a moment from shoveling food into his mouth, the actor looked deep in conversation with his yoga instructor wife.
Eyewitnesses said they were shocked to see the famous couple there, given the recent events that happened on the set of Rust.
"We were very surprised to see him out because we knew he hasn't been seen in public [in New York] since the accident," a patron of the restaurant told Daily Mail. Describing the actor as looking "very rough and not very polished," the onlooker added, "he seemed very sullen."
In the photos, Baldwin appears to have large bags under his eyes.

According to the witness, the duo was not approached by anyone other than staffers during their meal, but that didn't stop from someone taking pictures of the unsuspecting couple.
Their quiet dinner date is the complete opposite of their time in Vermont, where they were hounded by the paparazzi at every turn.
Baldwin and his family attempted to keep a low profile during their time in Vermont, but it didn't work. They remained there for weeks following the accidental shooting that occurred when the actor's prop gun went off, firing a live round.
Hutchins was shot in the chest. The film's director Joel Souza was shot in the shoulder but survived.
Following the tragedy, Baldwin was spotted breaking down outside the police station. He released a statement and has cooperated with authorities as they continue to investigate.
