Jewel Harris, the wife of NBA baller J.R. Smith, publicized a 10-minute prayer where she seems to hint at her husband's infidelity.
On Tuesday night, December 17, the basketball wife sat in her car as she confessed to her Instagram followers she has "a lot going on" and was told by God to pray and post it on her page.
She then started her prayer, which made mention of her husband and a woman named Candice. Though she did not share the women's last name, it is believed she may be referring to The Flash actress Candice Patton, who Smith was spotted with at a Halloween party back in October.
"God, I would like to lift my husband up and ask you, Lord Father God, to please just cover him with your blood," she said. "I ask in the mighty name of Jesus that you go to him where he is right now and you shake him up, God. You shake him up and you stir him up . . . I ask that wherever he is broke, you fix him and you heal him."
Smith's wife prayed for both individuals as she believed they were both "hurting."
"My husband, he’s hurting and Candice, she's hurting . . . For her to go out here, Father God, and seek a married man, I just pray that you give her grace and mercy through all of this," she said. "I lift her up," she prayed as she cried.
She then asked God to forgive the former Cleveland Cavaliers player and his alleged mistress.
“God I am asking, father God, as your servant, to please help and heal my husband … and please forgive him because he know not what he do.”
She asked for forgiveness for both her husband and the woman, stating, “Please forgive them lord because they don’t know the path of destruction that is before them father God for coming against your daughter!”
Harris thanked God for “giving her strength to go through all of this that’s meant to break me down.”
Following her prayer, the baller seemed to respond on his own Instagram account.
In a post on his Story, he wrote, "No weapon formed against me."
He then followed up with another post. "IG ain't a place for relationships!!," Smith wrote. "But God told me to tell y'all I've been separated for months. He doesn't know why his child failed to mention that,” he continued, concluding the post with the hashtag “#Thatsall.”
Photos of the married couple have also been deleted from his page.
Patton has not commented on the alleged affair.
Smith and Harris have been married since April 2016. They are parents to three daughters: Dakota, 2, and daughters Peyton and Demi, from both parents’ previous relationships.
