After working closely together for nearly a decade, Jennifer Aniston's friendship with Friends co-star James Michael Tyler unexpectedly came to a halt.
According to The Daily Star, the actor, 57, whose character Gunther was obsessed with Aniston's famed Rachel Green, revealed the two haven't spoken since the show's end in 2004.
"I haven’t seen Jennifer since the wrap party, honestly. It’s been 15 years since it ended," he said. "She lives in another city. I’m not going to go and hang outside her house and wait for her to come outside and say hello. That would be kind of weird!"
Tyler also clarified that he and the actress, now 50, have no issues. "It’s nothing personal. Actors move on. It’s been a long time,” he told the Daily Star.
Friends celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, having debuted on NBC in 1994.
Aniston's failure to keep in touch with past co-stars may be attributed to her busy schedule and life events.
Roughly a year after Friends’ final season in 2004, the star and her ex Brad Pitt ended their marriage. More than a decade later, she would go through another divorce with her former husband Justin Theroux, but life goes on for America's sweetheart.
As readers know, Aniston is grieving the loss of her beloved dog Dolly and has received emotional support from Theroux, 48, who had taken on the role as dog "daddy" to the hound.
But she's friendly with both her exes. Aniston's 50th birthday party earlier this year featured a shocker of a guest—her first husband Pitt!
The actor helped Jen celebrate her big milestone along with other A list guests at the Sunset Tower Hotel, years after he'd famously left her for Angelina Jolie.
On June 15, Aniston joined her former Friends’ co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow, 56, to celebrate Cox’s 55th birthday.
At the time, the trio captured their mini reunion with a smiling selfie. “How lucky am I to celebrate my birthday with these two??? I love you girls. So much,” Cox captioned the post, which was followed by a heart emoji.
The relatable TV show Friends made television icons of all three women and their leading men, Matthew Perry, 50, Matt LeBlanc , 52, and David Schwimmer, 52.
It's been reported that the Friends stars still haul in a whopping amount of money for reruns of the episodes.
They are all reportedly on great terms—but Gunther's not in the core group!
