Robbing The Cradle? Jamie Foxx’s New Flame Sela Vave Is Still A Teenager!
Jamie Foxx recently defended his decision to move aspiring singer, Sela Vave, into his Los Angeles home after the pair were spotted leaving a nightclub together last month. Now, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal that the 51-year-old’s new protégé is just 19 years old despite initial reports claiming she is 21.
The budding singer has credited Jamie multiple times on her social media accounts for giving her a start in the music industry. Although Sela has yet to publicly speak out about how old she is, RadarOnline.com can reveal that Sela’s own mother once confirmed her age in an uncovered Facebook post from 2017.
“Happy 17th Birthday to my sweet, kind, thoughtful, talented, beautiful amazing daughter Sela Vave!” Sela’s mother Sarah wrote on her personal Facebook page on July 19, 2017.
The proud mother’s post continued: “Instead of pictures this year I thought I’d share some of her musical talent….. this girl amazes me every day!!!”
The post confirms that Sela would have celebrated her 19th birthday months ago despite the brunette beauty staying mum on her social media accounts about it.
On Monday, a source close to the young singer dished to RadarOnline.com exclusively that Jamie had no clue Sela was just 19 when he decided to take her under his wing. The insider claimed that the actor just recently found out she’s still a teen – and wasn’t exactly thrilled about it.
“Sela called her mom and informed her that Jamie now knows she is 19,” the insider said. “Jamie has told her that she is not allowed to go to bars anymore.”
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Jamie and Sela were first spotted leaving West Hollywood hotspot Bootsy Bellows at 2 a.m. on Saturday, August 17. The photos ignited rumors that Katie Holmes’ ex is romancing the singer as they walked hand-in-hand to his car.
As rumors of their romance swirled, Jamie reportedly opened up about his decision to work and live with Sela on his Instagram account. He claimed that he is taking leadership of Sela’s career, much like he did with Ed Sheeran years ago.
“When I met Ed Sheeran, I didn’t know him from Adam. He slept on my couch for six weeks. Nick Cannon was 13 years old, he used to sleep at my old house,” Jamie claimed in an Instagram Live video.
According to reports, the actor also claimed on Instagram that he and Sela have a “working” relationship – and he even claimed to have been in contact with Sela’s mother. He also claimed that he would not date in his 25-year-old daughter Corinne’s age range.
Business-related or not, Jamie and Sela’s public outings came around the same time that sources confirmed he had split from Katie Holmes after six years of dating. Tom Cruise’s ex and the Shazam host were notorious for attempting to disguise their romance.
Despite the breakup, Katie appeared confident as she was photographed on August 27 showing off cleavage while out and about in New York City.
