Britney Spears' care manager, Jodi Montgomery, has officially been appointed her temporary new conservator after her father stepped down last week, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

Montgomery, an experienced fiduciary who has worked with the troubled singer for more than a year, was appointed to the new position after a hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court on September 9.

"The Temporary Conservator shall have the power to restrict and limit visitors by any means, provided that the Temporary Conservator shall not prevent the Conservatee from meeting with her court-appointed attorney, Mr. Ingham, except to approve the location for any meetings or visits in advance of any such meetings or visits, and to arrange for appropriate security, in order to protect the Conservatee," Judge Brenda Penny stated in a September 9 court order.

In addition, Montgomery will have the power to hire security guards for Britney and her caretakers, and can file civil harassment restraining orders on her behalf.

She will also communicate about the star's personal medical treatment, diagnosis and testing, and have access to her psychiatric treatment and care.

Montgomery's position expires on January 31, 2020.

She appeared in court on September 9, and seemed to be in "high spirits" as she walked out with her attorney, an onlooker told RadarOnline.com.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the singer's dad, Jamie Spears, resigned from his position of more than a decade after suffering health problems.

And, of course, his daughter's ex-husband, Kevin Federline, accused him of attacking Sean Preston, the former dancer's 13-year-old son with Britney.

Federline was granted a temporary restraining order following the August 24 incident, and Jamie is forbidden from seeing Sean Preston or Britney's other son, Jayden James, 12, for three years.

RadarOnline.com revealed Jamie has not been charged with a crime in the case, though the District Attorney is considering the possibility.

A source told RadarOnline.com Britney was "very upset" with her father following the alleged attack, and even blamed him for her recent decreased custody time with her kids.
