Miley Cyrus clearly can't be tamed — at least not by Liam Hemsworth!

RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the "Wrecking Ball" singer wasn't satisfied in the sack with her husband "for months" leading up to their recent split.

"She was bored in her marriage ,and she was bored in bed with Liam," a source close to the sexually-fluid Cyrus said.

The informant revealed the singer told her hunky actor hubby "many times" how she felt. And while he was "willing to change things up by bringing in another partner," the source said Cyrus, who has said she is attracted to women, "needed more than that."

"She really did try her best to fit into this wife role at first, but she is just not ready to be a domesticated housewife," the source added.

As fans know, Cyrus, 26, and Hemsworth, 29, announced they were splitting on Saturday, August 10 — just eight months after their nuptials.

Just prior to their announcement, Cyrus was spotted kissing Brody Jenner's ex-girlfriend, Kaitlynn Carter, 30, at the II Sereno resort in Lake Como, Italy.

According to the source, "heartbroken" Hemsworth "was completely caught off guard" by his wife's girl-on-girl PDA fest.

And he definitely wasn't the only one, as the insider said Cyrus' family is "completely torn" over her affair with Carter as well as the pop star's split with Hemsworth.

"Miley's sisters support her and just want her to be happy," the insider explained.

"Her mom Tish and dad Billy Ray are not quite there yet though. They really love Liam, and Miley's parents wanted nothing more than for her to have some children so that they could have grandbabies."
