Heather Locklear pleaded no contest to eight misdemeanor charges of battery and resisting officers, and has been ordered to spend 30 days in a residential treatment program to avoid jail. RadarOnline.com can reveal exclusive details on the sentencing.
Locklear, 57, was not present in court on Friday, August 16, 2019, when her attorneys entered her plea.
Locklear was sentenced to 120 days in jail. The sentence was stayed pending the successful completion of a residential treatment program, Senior Deputy District Attorney Thomas Dunlevy told RadarOnline.com.
A source exclusively confirmed to RadarOnline.com that Heather is home and has until September 6 to enroll in the treatment facility,
Locklear also will be placed on an informal probation for three years, which means she doesn’t have to check in with a probation officer. She must follow other terms of her sentence.
Under those terms, Locklear cannot consume alcohol, take non-prescription medication, or possess dangerous or deadly weapons, Dunlevy said told RadarOnline.com.

"The People advocated for 90 days in jail to be imposed rather than stayed, but I respect the judge's decision in terms of the sentenced imposed," Dunlevy said after the hearing. "If she does not comply with the program and the terms of her probation, then the 120 days would be imposed."
Locklear has an upcoming court date on Sept. 6, which is when her attorneys are scheduled update the court on her status, Dunlevy said.
Locklear's misdemeanor counts included five counts of battery on a peace officer, one count of battery on an emergency personnel, and two counts of resisting arrest, according to Ventura County District Attorney prosecutors.
The sentence stems from a February 2018 arrest where she allegedly attacked her boyfriend and a police officer while under the influence. In her June 2018 arrest, she allegedly went after a officer and EMT while intoxicated.
