Hayden Panettiere’s Boyfriend Hires High-Powered Hollywood Attorney Shawn Holley In Assault Case
July 24 2019, Updated 5:14 p.m. ET
Hayden Panettiere’s troubled boyfriend Brian Hickerson faced Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ray Jurado on Wednesday, July 24 as part of his felony domestic violence case. And he had a new lawyer by his side for the hearing: high-powered Hollywood attorney Shawn Holley, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
Dressed in a dark gray suit, Hickerson, 30, remained silent as Holley entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.
The judge extended a protective order for the footage obtained from body cameras worn by police, who responded to the May 2 incident where the unemployed actor allegedly beat Nashville star Panettiere, 30, in a rage.
With Holley — who has worked with Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, and most infamously O.J. Simpson in his 1994 murder trial — by his side, Hickerson appeared relaxed, and was even smiling and chatting with his new attorney before the hearing.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Hickerson was arrested and jailed after cops said he left his famous girlfriend bloodied and bruised in a violent fight.
Later that month, a Los Angeles judge issued a protective order against Panettiere’s man, preventing him from coming within 100 yards of the star.
Deputy District Attorney Lisa Kassabian told RadarOnline.com the protective order will remain in place for the duration of Hickerson’s case.
Hickerson must return to court for a pretrial hearing on August 28.
