Ellen, 61, pointed out that she has already filmed 16 seasons, or about 3,000 episodes of her daytime talker.
As recently as December, Ellen was seriously considering pulling the plug on her Emmy winning show, admitting Portia was pleading with her to move on.
“I just think she’s such a brilliant actress and standup that it doesn’t have to be this talk show for her creativity,” Portia previously admitted to the New York Times. “There are other things she could tackle. I don’t see the end of her show as her career ending.”
