Too late to apologize?
In a shocking statement shared this Tuesday, April 16, The Wendy Williams Show producer admitted he regrets his recent antics, including an alleged decade-long mistress and a secret love child.
“I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans,” he said in the statement, first obtained by The Blast. "I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs.”
RadarOnline.com readers know Williams, 54, served Hunter, 46, with divorce papers on Friday, April 12, after admitting on air that she was living in a sober house and dealing with her addiction issues.
Though she didn’t address her longtime partner’s cheating scandal, she threw shade at Hunter during her recent show, saying she was getting clean, moving out of the treatment center, and building a better future for her and her son, Kevin Hunter Jr.
“It’ll be Wendy on her own,” she told her show audience this Monday, April 15.
It’s unknown what will happen to the house she and Hunter share following their divorce, but as is clear from Hunter’s message, he feels shame about the scandal.
In his statement, Hunter added: “28 years ago I met an amazing woman: Wendy Williams. At the time, I didn’t realize that she would not only become my wife, but would also change the face of entertainment and the world. I have dedicated most of our lives to the business empire that is Wendy Williams Hunter, a person that I truly love and respect unconditionally.”
