Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is living it up in prison!

Nearly three months into his eight-month sentence for tax evasion, the Jersey Shore star is leading a healthy, relaxing and happy life behind bars.

RadarOnline.com exclusively reported this March that the reality hunk was "actually having a good time" in prison, and now, his costar Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has confirmed the news.

"It's like he's in a senior home," Snooki, 31, told E! News in an interview at her store, The Snooki Shop this week. "He's playing Bingo, he's helping people recover in jail."

She explained that while Mike, 36, is busy paying for his crime behind bars, he and the entire show cast still keep in touch.

"We all talk to him through an email, so I talk to him like once a week," she said. "He's in the gym a lot, so he's probably gonna come out ripped. You know, he's not gonna be BDS anymore — Big Daddy Sitch — he's probably gonna have his six-pack again. But he's doing … he's doing good in there."

RadarOnline.com readers know Mike reported to the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York on January 15.

He will spend eight months total in prison and two years in supervised release. His brother Marc Sorrentino, who conspired with him in the wild tax evasion, structuring and falsifying records scandal, will serve two years behind bars.

Two days after he entered prison, Mike's new wife, Lauren, shared an update via his Twitter account, thanking fans for their love and support. She said the star was "doing great" behind barsand would respond to fan letters whenever he could.

Snooki's account that Mike is "having the time of his life" in prison comes as no surprise to RadarOnline.com readers. As a source close to the star revealed earlier this month, he is "being treated like a King in there."

"Mike can make a good situation out of anything. So it's not super shocking," the insider added at the time.
