Mel B wants to settle her bitter legal battle with her former German nanny Lorraine Gilles.

The Spice Girl wants to settle out of court with Gilles as she fears she could lose a fortune.

Mel B could lose a massive $8 million from her forthcoming due to legal costs in fighting Gilles.

The 43-year-old performer, who endured a nightmare divorce from Stephen Belafonte, has been working with women advocate groups recently.

This week, she turned up at Downing Street to deliver a shocking report which revealed that two thirds of survivors were economically exploited and often left penniless by their abusers.

A source told The Sun On Sunday newspaper: "The court fight with Lorraine Gilles is just not a priority for Mel anymore, she has other – more important – things to focus on.

"Mel's legal team are now keen to get to the table and work on an agreement and walk away."

However, it remains to be seen if she can settle with Gilles as there is plenty of bad blood between the two women.

In her divorce declaration against Belafonte in 2017, she branded Gilles a "prostitute" and "homewrecker" and alleged that the blonde nanny fell pregnant with her ex's baby.

The nanny denied the claims and sued the singer for libel.

Last year judges at the Los Angeles Supreme Court rejected Mel B's final appeal against the libel case moving forward.

If there was a trial, Gilles lawyers may have the opportunity to grill famous witnesses like Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell plus the other Spice Girls about Mel's character.

Even worse Belafonte could also take the stand to give evidence against his ex-wife.

Mel B is set to make a fortune this year during a stadium tour with the Spice Girls.
