Luann De Lesseps Says She Should Have Seen 'Red Flags' With Ex-Husband Tom

Luann De Lesseps has admitted she jumped too quickly into her brief marriage to Tom D'Agostino Jr.
The Real Housewives of New York star, 53, broke her silence on her divorce from Tom in an interview with PEOPLE.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Luann and Tom split just seven months after walking down the aisle!
Sources previously told RadarOnline.com that Luann was humiliated after breaking up with Tom so quickly.

Now she's sighed to PEOPLE, "I've learned that I should have probably taken a little bit more time and taken more cues from my girlfriends. All the red flags were there. I just didn't want to see them and that's why they say love is blind."
Luann, who was also married to French-born Aristocrat Count Alexandre de Lesseps from 1993 to 2009, said she hasn't been in touch with second husband Tom since they ended their marriage in 2017.
"I have not even seen Tom, which is crazy to me," she said. "Not that I wouldn't be of course polite, or whatever, it's just kind of bizarre."
She noted to PEOPLE about her marriage, "I mean it was just a very tumultuous whole story. When I was done, I was done, and I'm not one who lives really too much in the past. I don't regret it, because I feel like from life's mistakes or life's experiences, you then get yourself to the direction that you need to be in and so it's a learning thing and I did love Tom. He's a great guy. It just didn't work out."

Although the end was abrupt for the reality TV star and Tom, she added, "There was definite love there," and said she doesn't have hard feelings.

"I'm a hopeless romantic. I love the idea of love and I think people have to take chances in life," Luann confided.
But does she take too many? Luann was arrested in Palm Beach, Florida, on Christmas Eve 2017 after a boozy bender in which she trespassed in a hotel room and locked herself in a bathroom.
On an episode of RHONY last year, the cabaret performer opined about her failed second marriage, "I loved Tom. I did everything I could to make this marriage work. But sometimes it's just not possible. Sometimes, love just isn't enough."
