After Lori Loughlin was taken into custody Wednesday to face felony charges for her involvement in the infamous college admissions scam, her teen daughter wanted to speak out in her own defense, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

However, the Fuller House actress, 52, ordered the 18-year-old social media influencer to keep quiet, a source claims.

"Olivia Jade was ready to tell her side of the story, and claim her innocence on her Vlog," the insider said. "But she was told not to by her mother."

The star "told her kids that neither of them should say anything to anyone until they figure out how they are going to handle this."

In court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com on Tuesday, March 12, authorities claimed Loughlin and fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli, 55, "agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC."

It is still unclear as to whether or not the couple's daughters — YouTube star Olivia Jade and sister Isabella Rose, 20 — knew about the scheme.

As fans know, Loughlin was arrested on Wednesday, March 13, after flying back to Los Angeles from Vancouver, where she was filming a movie.

She is expected to be in court later on Wednesday.

Loughlin and Giannulli — along with actress Felicity Huffman, 56, and dozens of others — were charged after ringleader William Singer allegedly helped more than 750 families get their kids into prestigious colleges and universities through fraudulent means.
