A List Love! George Clooney Defends Friend Meghan Markle Amid Diva Rumors

Meghan Markle is getting slammed by diva rumors, but George Clooney has rallied to her side like a prince, staunchly defending her!
The Duchess' A list friend said in an interview with "Good Morning Britain" on Friday, March 15, 2019, Clooney called the coverage of Meghan "a little unfair at times….it seemed to me a little unjust since she hadn’t done anything except just happen to live her life." Clooney and his wife Amal showed how close they are to Prince Harry, 34, and former actress Meghan, 37, by attending their wedding in May 2018.
The Catch-22 star gushed to GMB, "She’s a really kind and smart, intelligent young woman, and they're a really wonderful, loving couple." Clooney added about the criticism of Meghan, "Most of it you can just shrug off and not pay attention to," he added, "but sometimes it's unkind...."
Piers Morgan, who has blasted Meghan, is one of the key Good Morning Britain hosts, but tellingly, Clooney was interviewed by different hosts, Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins, on the Friday show.
Morgan has dubbed Meghan a "ruthless social climber." As RadarOnline.com readers know, he's not the only one throwing shade on the Duchess.
In royal biographer Robert Jobson‘s book Charles at 70: Thoughts, Hopes and Dreams, he claimed that before the wedding, Harry raised his voice and yelled, “What Meghan wants, she gets!”
Meghan's diva reputation continued after a few of her staffers have quit, including her personal assistant, just six months into the job. The Duchess had reportedly driven the woman, Melissa Toubati, to tears with her demands. Royal correspondent Richard Palmer has written, "It is clear that Meghan is regarded as difficult and demanding by some in the family and on the staff.”

It's also said she and Kate Middleton have been feuding, although they've recently appeared in public together. But Clooney loves the ex-Suits star—and rubbing shoulders with British royalty! On Tuesday, March 12, he and Amal attended Prince Charles' dinner for his Trust charity.
"Charles got really crazy and started dancing on the tables, and I was surprised to see that. He had such good dance moves," Clooney joked.
