Bethenny Frankel announced on Friday, March 8, 2019 that she's been diagnosed with "leaky gut syndrome" and a wheat allergy--the same week her nasty custody battle with ex-husband Jason Hoppy resumed.

The Real Housewives of New York star, 48, revealed her health problems via Twitter.

"Just when you thought it couldn’t get sexier, I was diagnosed today with 'leaky gut syndrome' and a wheat allergy," she wrote. "Could there be a more vile title? That I wouldn’t have put on my dating profile."

She added, "Ok tweeps, hit me with the info," apparently wanting to know what others will discover about her condition.

Leaky gut syndrome, or increased intestinal permeability, is a digestive system condition that occurs when gaps in the intestinal wall begin to loosen, according to Healthline. When those gaps become bigger, it allows things like toxins, bacteria and undigested food particles to leak out of the intestines and into the bloodstream.

Increased intestinal permeability is often connected to celiac disease, which is similar to Frankel’s other diagnosis — a wheat allergy. But a wheat allergy is different from celiac disease or gluten intolerance. According to Everyday Health, a wheat allergy is when the body has an immune reaction or an allergic reaction to wheat protein.

Bethenny previously disclosed in December 2018 that her fish allergy caused a near-death experience.

She wound up in the ICU after accidentally eating soup that contained fish.

Frankel admitted her new boyfriend, Paul Bernon, saved her life by calling 911 after she fell unconscious in a restaurant after eating the soup.

The reality TV star had another horrific health crisis involving fish in January 2019.

At that time, Bethenny took to Twitter to reveal her plane flight had to turn back around after they decided to serve fish to their passengers even after she told them about her severe allergy.

This month has also been a horror show for Bethenny, as RadarOnline.com exclusively reported that she took the stand in her ongoing custody battle with her ex-husband on Wednesday, March 6, claiming Hoppy subjected her to emotional and mental “torture” after their 2012 split.

Bethenny began crying as she claimed she had once agreed to joint legal custody of their daughter Bryn, https://radaronline.com/photos/bethenny-frankel-jason-hoppys-long-war-exposed/ 8, because she believed a truce would “stop the bleeding” in their fractured co-parenting relationship.

However, she claimed the conflict erupted into "day in and day out torture" from Hoppy.

In court, Bethenny alleged that her ex subjected her to, "Emotional, mental, phone, FaceTime, being followed, being harassed, being verbally attacked and all-out assault in every possible way — on my character, on my mental state, on my family, on my parenting, on my career, on my life."

As RadarOnline.com reported, Frankel now wants full custody of Bryn, claiming Hoppy is a danger to their daughter.

But Hoppy says he regrets past things he said to Frankel, and has accused his ex of exposing Bryn to dangerous situations, including her ex-boyfriend Dennis Shields. Shields died following a drug overdose in August 2018.
